She Knows Me Too Well The Beach Boys
"She Knows Me Too Well" is a song written by Brian Wilson and Mike Love for the American rock band The Beach Boys, about a man who is engrossed and obsessed in his own jealousy and insecurity. It was released on the 1965 album The Beach Boys Today!, initially serving as the B-side of their "When I Grow Up (To Be a Man)" single in 1964. It was one of the first songs that Brian wrote while under the influence of marijuana.
Brian considered the song a tribute to Burt Bacharach. According to Allmusic, "This song can essentially be called 'son of "Don't Worry Baby".' It's built around the same kinds of Spector-inspired chord changes and also has a similar sense of vulnerability." According to P...

It's the tragedy of civil war that best friends find themselves facing each other, not always because of oppossing ideologies but the simplicity of the soil they represent. The Gettysburg Address addresses this in simple terms. Ironically it is here again with Trump/Maga...note well the final line...."that the nation of the people, by the people and for the people shall.not perish from the Earth " 😔

The only winners in that war... as in every other damned war before or since... were the damned bankers and their cuckold industry moguls, establishing a union for slavery of ALL people... economic and financial slavery, where people work all their lives to pay taxes to a self-professed 'elite' and then die. Yeah... sure. The war WAS fought over slavery... but not the kind that MOST think! And it thrives, today!

One of the best movies depicting the civil war on both sides. There is a level of respect they had for one another because they had served together previously. These men fought and died for what we have today in many ways. It unfortunate that people today disrespect the flag and shit on it (not all) but mostly.

A wonderfully touching portrayal by actor Richard Jordan who was in failing health himself and died the following year from cancer at age 56. What I find amazing is that this same actor played Hawk, the bad guy in the 1975 John Wayne film 'Rooster Cogburn.'

It was good that the South lost the war. Calling them traitors is way too easy. A traitor knows he's a traitor and then men who fought for the same almost exclusively never thought of themselves in that manner, despite what they may have been forced to accept in the end.

Would you walk across a mile wide open field into an entrenched and protected defender and in the final assault go straight into artillery firing canister just to preserve the ownership of slaves? Obviously , there was a deeper cause to the war than just an institution that was on its way out, thanks to the Industrial Revolution.

My dad used to work for an amusement company, removing juke box records in bars, hotels, etc and replacing them with new ones. The ones he took out he brought home and this song was one of them. It was almost new and never hardly got any plays. I love this song and play it on my Zenith Circle of Sound that I bought in high school in 1972, and the wall of sound just practically shakes the windows it is fantastic. Thanks for posting!

Lee was strangely dis interested with the ensuing battles of Gettysberg. On day one they not only gave up the high ground of semetary ridge, but also missed the opportunity to capture or destroy the union supply train. Both were a result of unclear orders by Lee and the inability to trust the advice of General Longstreet whom was denied TWICE his request to push up on the left which WOULD have led to the capture of the union supply train. Years later the prussians who always had to fight from the middle adopted a military tradition where you trust the commander closest to the battle lines and heed their advice above all others. It allowed for flexibility in attacks and withdrawls

I'm sure that Longstreet, as he knew what was to happen, thought a moment or two, to disobey his orders to protest but men dying in the most brutal way in combat, in mass, was still the continental way of fighting against the power of the weaponry of the day. Well, his loyalty to Lee was his duty as a soldier, unfortunately. Certainly the end of the C.S.A.
